An elevated platform with a ceremony arch overlooking the lake. Your vows, framed by water, forest, and sky. This is where every guest holds their breath — and your photographer gets the hero shot. Seats up to 150 guests.
Just before the ceremony, the gate swings open and the bride steps through onto the aisle to the lake. It's the moment every guest turns to watch.
The door was made in the on-site blacksmith shop of Puget Sound Power & Light Co., or one of the early electric companies that became it, around the turn of the last century. The utility traces its roots to March 22, 1886, when the Seattle Electric Light Company switched on the first central-station incandescent lighting system west of the Rocky Mountains. Its successor, the Seattle Electric Company, became Puget Sound Traction, Light & Power in 1912, and later Puget Sound Power & Light. It was retired in the 1970s and set aside as a candidate for a museum, then waited in storage for decades before it came to us.
With it came the utility's solid-brass Honor Roll from its Northern District, listing employees in continuous service twenty-five years or more, some whose service began as early as 1889.
1,400 square feet of covered outdoor space with a chandelier overhead and two fans for airflow. Rain or shine, your reception runs seamlessly. An adjacent bar area and prep kitchen keep everything flowing. Perfect for ceremonies, cocktail hours, or dinner under the lights.
A French-country styled room with a crystal chandelier and a private bridal garden just outside the door. This is where the magic starts — where your wedding party gets ready, shares a toast, and takes those candid pre-ceremony photos that you'll frame for life.
Step out of the Bridal Ready Room into your own private garden, enclosed by green hedge walls. It's the bride's space with her bridesmaids: room to get ready, share a quiet moment, and take photos away from the guests.
A lakeview ready room for the groom and groomsmen: curtained, comfortable, and a short walk from the venue, so they're close by when it's time to seat guests.
A dedicated space for your caterer to prep and plate, with stainless steel counters, a utility sink, two refrigerators (including a large commercial one), and direct access to the reception area. There's no stove or oven, so meals arrive prepared and are finished and plated here. You bring the caterer; we provide the workspace.
A natural waterfall tucked into the forest on the property. A favorite photo destination for couples and guests. It's also the view from the Bridal Ready Room window, so you can watch the water while you get ready. This is also the future site of our Japanese garden — moss, stone, raked gravel, and maples surrounding the water.
The Ploenette Flower Garden and the White Garden are established and blooming. Pathway arches with white sweet peas and star jasmine are being planted this fall. A wine barrel garden and Japanese garden are next. Seven distinct gardens across the full property — growing more extraordinary every season.
Ample car parking with a short walk to the venue. The property is gated and private — once your guests arrive, the outside world disappears.
